VANCOUVER · BRITISH COLUMBIA
From the seawall to the summit.
Day trips, mountain crossings, harbour cruises and the long way to Whistler. Stanley Park, Capilano, Granville Island and the Pacific in between.
First time in town
If you only have one day in Vancouver.
The combination most travellers book first. Seawall, suspension bridge, the harbour view — the shorthand for what the city looks like.
The classics
Vancouver's Most Popular Tours
Stanley Park, Capilano, Grouse, Granville Island and Whistler. The day trips Vancouver gets booked for.
Mountains, city, sea
Vancouver in three views.
The North Shore drops straight into the harbour. The city sits on the strip between. Out past the inlet, the Pacific. Pick the view you came for.
Above the city
The mountains that look back.
The North Shore peaks rise straight from the harbour. Capilano's suspension bridge, Grouse Mountain's grizzly habitat, the Sea-to-Sky Gondola at Squamish.

By place
Pick a corner of Vancouver.
Each place is its own day. Stanley Park for the seawall. Capilano for the swinging bridge. Granville Island for the market and the makers. Grouse Mountain for the tram. Whistler for the drive north.
By activity
Or pick how you want to spend the day.
Boat if you want the harbour. Bike if you want the seawall. Seaplane if you want the city from the air. Walk if you want Gastown brick by brick. The rest fan out from there.
North on the Sea-to-Sky
The drive up to Whistler.
The Sea-to-Sky Highway hugs the fjord all the way to Whistler village. Shannon Falls, Squamish, the Peak-to-Peak gondola. If we had to pick three, these are the ones we’d send a first-time visitor on.
Across the strait
A ferry day to Victoria.
Across the Salish Sea to Vancouver Island. Butchart Gardens in summer bloom, the Inner Harbour at sunset, the Empress and the seaplanes. Our three favourites for the long day off the mainland.
From the air
Vancouver, with the rooftops below.
Coal Harbour seaplanes lift off the water, bank over Stanley Park, and put the whole city in a single frame. Three scenic flights worth the splurge.
